Owls form the order Strigiformes, split into two families: Tytonidae, the barn owls and their relatives, and Strigidae, the typical owls, together holding roughly two hundred and fifty species. Habitat and distribution
The osprey occurs beside fishable water almost everywhere outside Antarctica and needs open sight lines above it.
