How they are related
Both belong to the genus Equus, which also contains asses and onagers. They are close enough to interbreed, producing sterile hybrids sometimes called zorses, but they differ in chromosome number, which is why the offspring cannot reproduce. Behaviour
Plains zebras live in harem groups of a stallion with mares and foals, which combine into larger aggregations, while Grevy's zebras hold territories instead.
