Overview
The red-eyed tree frog (Agalychnis callidryas) is one of the most recognisable amphibians in the world, a small, vividly coloured frog of Central American rainforests. By day it rests folded against a leaf with its limbs tucked in and its eyes closed, appearing almost entirely leaf-green. Appearance and recognition
Adults are small and slender, with females typically larger than males.
